Professional, Personable, and Experienced Tutoring for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Physics

Welcome!

I provide high quality tutoring for Mathematics and Physics. I am currently taking an MSc in Computationally Applied Mathematics at Edinburgh (graduating September 2024), having recently graduated 1st class BSc Physics from Durham.

I generally provide online tutoring, although have in person experience in Surrey also. I have been tutoring since I finished my A-Levels (Summer 2019). Having completed these same examinations recently, I am highly familiar with the exams and their requirements, along with the struggles of students going through them - that was me not too long ago!

My Motivation

After building up significant experience tutoring, and having developed a rigorous mathematical understanding through my degrees, I have come to enjoy the teaching process and passing on what I have learnt.

Conventional teaching, constrained in certain ways, can brush over the deeper problem solving and understanding that is so crutial in these subjects. Being more flexible, in my teaching I can cater to how a student learns best and instil an interest in these subjects that is often disregarded.

Primarily, given I took these exams not too long ago, I am highly familiar with the hurdles and pitfalls they can pose. My interest in the subjects can be seen through the choices of my degree and I take pleasure in showing others how fascinating and wonderful these subjects can be. Finally, working independently, I am highly flexible and attuned to the needs of students who may have other commitments - agencies can often pose restraints on rescheduling or simple things like emailing marked work that should otherwise be no problem.
